Today’s episode of Talk Tuesday is about diving into your yarn stash & giving back! Visit StashDive.com I have listed a few charities that you can knit for that take projects that would be very quick to knit AND can help you destash some bits of yarn! Please read the guidelines on each donation site to ensure that you are making things with the correct fibers and using the patterns they suggest.

If you want to just donate things rather than craft to donate you can donate craft supplies to most public Elementary schools. Some public libraries also take craft supply donations and some churches will too! You can ALWAYS donate gently used books to libraries. You can also check with your local organizations like hospitals to see if they take knitted donations of baby hats & cancer centers for chemo caps and lap blankets if you want to make something larger. Homeless centers are a great place to donate scarves, mittens and hats for all ages and of course those places happily take gently used coats, shoes and clothing.

Non knitting donations can be made to animal shelters and rescue groups, they always need, clean, gently used towels & blankets, newspaper & things you would use to clean with. I know we are not going to change the whole world with knitting & donations BUT we can make it a happier place for those around us :) Don’t forget to check out StashDive.com to sign up for the KAL and for all of the details on this fun summer project!

Don't forget to visit Stash Dive to sign up for the fun KAL & enter to win some great prizes!
